Let’s be real—you aren’t watching this movie for a deep, philosophical storyline. The plot is as predictable as it gets, and you can easily guess what happens next. But honestly? Who cares when the action is this good! Having Chinese martial arts sensation Xie Miao and the legendary Joe Taslim (yes, the guy from The Raid and Mortal Kombat) in the same film is a massive win for action geeks.
The fight choreography is insane. Director Kenji Tanigaki has a massive background in stunt coordination, and it really shows on screen. The camera moves beautifully, the hits feel incredibly heavy, and there is barely any of that annoying shaky-cam nonsense. Every punch and kick feels real and brutal.
Yang Enyou also does a great job adding some emotional weight to the film, but let’s face it, we are here for the fights. It is a total paisa vasool entertainer if you love martial arts.
