Our Honest Verdict: Hit or Miss?

Tbh, Mario is a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, Hebah Patel is always a treat to watch. She brings her usual charm and energy to the screen. Kalpika Ganesh also does a solid job in her role, proving once again that she is highly underrated in the industry. The chemistry between the cast keeps the lighter moments alive.

But the screenplay is where things get a bit messy. The first half moves at a decent pace, setting up the mystery and the comedy. But post-intermission, the story kinda drags. The director tries to pack in too many twists, and some of the jokes land flat. It feels like the movie is trying desperately to be a cool, Guy Ritchie-style indie crime film, but it doesn’t have the sharp writing to pull it off entirely.
