So, I finally got around to watching M4M: Motive for Murder, and not gonna lie, it is actually a pretty solid crime thriller. If you love those suspenseful whodunit movies where you are constantly trying to guess the killer, this one will right up your alley. It is got a very dark, artsy vibe to it that feels quite fresh for a Telugu-origin film dubbed in Hindi.

The Storyline: Art, Murder, and Madness in Hyderabad

The plot is set in Hyderabad, which is currently on high alert because of a crazy serial killer on the loose. But here is the twist—this killer isn’t just randomly stabbing people. They are staging every single crime scene to look exactly like famous classical paintings. Kinda wild, right?

To stop this madness, ACP Krishna teams up with a super sharp journalist named Radha. As they dig deeper, the clues start pointing toward a college student and a school principal. It is basically a ticking clock situation where our duo has to crack the code before the killer paints their next masterpiece with someone’s life. The pacing is tight, and it keeps you guessing till the very end.

Our Honest Review: Worth Your Time?

Honestly, the movie is a total paisa vasool entertainer if you like mystery dramas. Usually, these low-budget investigative thrillers can get a bit draggy, but director Mohan Vadlapatla keeps the grip tight. You won’t feel like looking at your phone during the second half, which is a big win.

The absolute star of the show is Jo Sharma. She plays the journalist-investigator with so much confidence. She does full justice to her character, and her screen presence is amazing. Also, stick around till the end because she has a surprise dance performance that is just top-tier. Sambeet Acharya and veteran actor Subhalekha Sudhakar also play their parts really well, adding a lot of weight to the suspense.

Sure, some of the supporting cast’s acting feels a bit amateurish, and the dubbing in Hindi could have been slightly smoother in a few scenes. But if you can look past those minor hitches, it is a great time-pass watch for a weekend movie night.
