Our Review: Hit or Miss?
Not gonna lie, Huma Qureshi absolutely carries this film on her shoulders. Playing a character who can’t speak or hear requires some serious acting chops, and she nails the expressions beautifully. You feel her pain, her confusion, and her cold rage.
The biggest surprise for me was Chunky Panday. He plays her father, and wow, he actually did a fantastic job. It’s so refreshing to see him in a grounded, emotional role instead of his usual over-the-top comedy characters. Sikandar Kher is also solid, adding that much-needed tension to the mystery.
Director Nachiket Samant does a neat job keeping the atmosphere dark and moody. The Mumbai backdrop feels raw and real. However, the screenplay kinda drags in the second half. The pacing drops, and some of the twists feel a bit predictable.
Worth a watch? Tbh, yes. It’s a decent one-time watch and a good option for a weekend movie night if you like crime thrillers. Don’t expect a mind-bending masterpiece, but it’s definitely a solid, paisa-vasool effort.
